Hello Everyone,
We are looking for some feedback from everyone. We have come up with some ideas of what to write about on the Doreo blog, but we want your input and ideas. Just about anything is fair game as long as it’s somehow related to web hosting, web site software, SEO etc. Just post your ideas as comments and we’ll see what we can come up with.

Updates to the Doreo blog

Just a quite note that we have implemented quite a few changes and updates to the Doreo blog.
First, we’ve added three new categories to the blog:
- Doreo Recommends
This category will contain software and services that we like and use. We’ll also post recommendations from our clients.
- How To’s
As the name suggests, we’ll post various how-to’s in this category. We have started to compile a pretty decent sized list for this category based on common support requests.
- Your Website
This category will be a catch-all for any tools, software or techniques that might be useful for your web site. It will include everything from WordPress plug-in’s to phpBB mods to general SEO techniques or the latest trends in web site design. We believe that this category will be a lot of fun.
Secondly, we updated the overall functionality of the website. We’ve added:
- A new subscription system to be notified of new posts.
- A new option to be notified if new comments are added to a post.

- Blocked Messages: 452,880 (82.38%)
- RBL 295,960 (53.84%)
- Spam 114,587 (20.84%)
- RFC 30,729 (5.59%)

- Virus 808 (0.15%)

Hopefully you are already aware of it, but Google and many other search engines will penalize your web site for duplicate content. The penalty not only applies to duplicate content across multiple sites but also within a single site.

We receive a lot of requests to install WordPress for clients because they think it’s too hard to install. WordPress is actually quite easy to install with Fantastico (our script installer) . This tutorial will show you how to easily install WordPress.

If your like most of us at Doreo you read a lot of blogs. Rather than actually go and check each blog daily we use RSS readers. We’ve tired lots of them (both stand alone apps and web based). We all finally settled on one that we like Google Reader.
